The Hebrew Disease

Jesus was a Judahite. A real Hebrew.

All His Hebraic kinsmen are long gone and irrevocably dead.

“Behold, your house is being left to you desolate!” Matthew 23:38

Still, many today call themselves Hebrews. Some do it because being “the Hebrews of the bible” makes them feel special, while others simply misappropriate it to fulfill their own agendas.

THE DISEASE

Pretending to be a Hebrew is a spiritual disease because a) it is a lie, b) it places the flesh above the spirit man, and c) it is self-debasement since those who do it project the dead unto themselves, thus sending the message that the dead are better than they.

“Let the dead bury their own dead.” Matthew 8:22

There are 4 groups today that are pretending to be Hebrews.

1. Jews. Non-Hebraic Rabbinists (followers of the Babylonian Talmud) have been using the “Jew” appellation since the late 18th Century in order to appear to be Judahite Hebrews. See How The Ashkenazi Jews Conquered the West.

That way people could see them as the Chosen People, while they endeavored to steal Palestine and create modern-day Israel without the objection of the Christian world; especially since they were Eastern-European Nomads seeking a new country following the loss of their homeland Khazaria.

Then they – who originally spoke Yiddish – resurrected the dead Hebrew tongue after thousands of years in the dustbin of oblivion to make it Israel’s official language. In so doing, they consolidated in the world’s mind the impression that they were Hebrews rightfully returning home, when in fact they were not.

Consequently, the great majority of Jews wholeheartedly bought into the propaganda that they were actually Judahite Hebrews. In turn, their Hebrew sickness became more acute than the contagion that spread to the other pretend Hebrews and morphed into several physiological and psychological diseases.

It’s no wonder Jews have quite a number of genetic issues, are prone to schizophrenia and other mental illnesses, and are twice as likely to become homosexuals – with Tel Aviv, Israel as the gay capital of the world. Their fake identity causes a spiritual imbalance which disturbs their cellular, mental, and sexual processes.

“You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean.” Matthew 23:27

“God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.” Romans 1:28

2. Some Blacks. Those poor souls are fooling themselves into believing that they are Black Hebrew Israelites.

What is their reason to label themselves so?

One can only assume that hundreds of years of subjugation of the African continent by European powers, along with slavery and segregation in the West, have created an inferiority complex that needs a “Special People” antidote.

Nevertheless, many believe that King David of Judah was either married to the Queen of Sheba or had an affair with her; and said liaison supposedly produced a son named Menelik whose descendants went from Ethiopia throughout the African continent.

First, the bible makes no mention whatsoever of Menelik, and there’s no biblical evidence that the Queen of Sheba was Solomon’s mistress or wife.

Second, the Kingdom of Sheba was not the Ethiopia of today as many wrongly assume. It was located in Western Asia at the Southern end of the Arabian Peninsula.  According to William Smith, L.L.D., author of A Dictionary of the Bible (page 611), “The Kingdom of Sheba embraced the greater part of the Yemen, or Arabia Felix. It bordered on the Red Sea, and was one of the most fertile districts of Arabia. Its chief cities, and probably successive capitals, were Seba, San’a (Uzal), and Zafar (Sephar). Seba was probably the name of the city, and generally of the country and nation.”

Third, let us suppose that Menelik was a descendant of David, who relocated from Yemen to Africa. That’s just one man who may have had a few descendants whose Hebraic blood would have been so diluted over the millennia through non-Hebraic marriages that there would be almost no trace of Solomon’s DNA left behind. Besides, those few descendants would hardly constitute all the people of the African continent, who already existed way before Menelik was born.

3. Some Europeans. Their Hebrew pretense is found mostly in British Israelism.

That ridiculous notion started in the early 1850s, more than two millennia after the destruction of the Kingdom of Israel – that’s our cue to jump in the time machine and shout, “Wait a minute, only now you come up with that?” 🙂

The main purpose of British Israelism was to squash the rumblings of the conquered people of the British Empire and cement the empire’s “legitimacy.” The empire on which the sun never sets started in earnest in the 1500s, had by 1922 approximately 458 million people under its control, and covered roughly 13,000,000 square miles.

By the British King pretending to be a descendant of the Biblical King David (by inference Jesus Himself, Son of David), he could strike reverence (and even fear) in the hearts of a) his own people at home in order to secure his throne, and b) his then subjugated people in foreign countries, forced at that point to look upon their masters as “Revered Biblical Individuals” who were only occupying them for their own good.

An offshoot of British Israelism was Nordic Israelism. The Scandinavians basically said, “Hey, why not us too?” Their ridiculous claim had the same purpose: to prop up the Danish and Swedish Empires.

In turn, many Americans of European descent used said Hebrew pretense to bolster their nonsensical understanding of America’s greatness or Manifest Destiny – same baloney, different wrapper. See Israel: the Scourge of Empires.

Unfortunately, even today many people of European ancestry believe in said fallacy and actually consider themselves Hebrew Israelites; wistfully ignoring the fact that the Hebrews were a Semitic people, much like Arabs, and that if such were in fact their origin their facial feature would resemble that of Arabs.

4. Some Asians. The ones who think they’re Hebrews are found mostly in the Philippines. Theirs is a case of mistaken identity and bad history.

Many Sephardic Jews fled Spain during the Inquisition. Most of them took refuge in North Africa. However, a small number did travel all the way to the Philippines. There, many Filipinos mistook them for Hebrews which they obviously were not. And because most Sephardim have Spanish-sounding  last names like the Filipinos, many Filipinos assumed that they too were Hebrews.

Another group of Filipinos actually think that they’re the descendants of the Levites, whom King Jeroboam kicked out of the kingdom of Israel around 975 BC. However, the Levites did not go to the Philippines but to next door Judah. Read A Brief History of the Kingdoms of Israel and Judah.

Still, one other group zooms in on the fact that the Filipino dialect contains many Hebrew words; something they strangely believe makes them Hebrews. Actually, any idiomatic similarity would be to Aramaic, wherefrom Arabic and Hebrew derive. Besides, many languages have experienced cross-pollination because of factors such as trade and tourism, which, we can assure you, does not alter the genetic make-up of the people who speak them. 🙂

Furthermore, Ancient Israel, specifically the tribe of Judah, unlike Modern Israel, and much like Biblical Israel’s offspring, the Christian Church, was a proselytizing nation which wanted people all over the world to know and pray to the true God of the Universe, even though at one point the conversion process had become totally corrupted because of the pharisaic teachings. Let’s hear Jesus:

“Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.” Matthew 23:15

When the Judahite proselytizers traveled the world to make disciples, their converts didn’t miraculously become Israelites, even when the languages of the natives got sprinkled with a few Hebrew words.

“Judahites and proselytes…“ Acts 2: 11

THE BIBLICAL REALITY

Even if there were still Hebrews around – though they assuredly are NOT – it wouldn’t matter.

a. The New Covenant changes everything.

“By calling this covenant new, he has made the first one obsolete and what is obsolete is outdated.” Hebrews 8:13

The New Covenant trumps the Old Covenant in every aspect, no matter what anyone may infer from what the Old says about the ancient Hebrews.

“For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for another.” Hebrews 8:7

b. God couldn’t care less.

“There is neither Judahite nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all ONE in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3: 28

Jesus died so that we can all become part of His family, which is the only way to be humbly special.

Nothing else will do.

CONCLUSION

All these appellations of “Chosen People,” “Special People,” “Revered Biblical Individuals,” “Hebrews,” “Israelites,” and “Jews” are the vanity of the flesh and the pride of life.

“For everything in the world–the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life–comes not from the Father but from the world.” 1 John 2:16

Consequently, a relationship with Jesus is the crux of the matter, as it is the only way to become part of God’s family – join God’s family here – especially since there will be consequences for rejecting Him.

That’s really what all these pretend Hebrews should focus on.

“For both the One who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are of the same family. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers.” Hebrews 2:11
